Enrique La Orden Izquierdo is a paediatrician specialising in gastroenterology and nutrition, currently serving as Coordinador de Pediatría for the DASUR area of the Servicio Madrileño de Salud (SERMAS). He is also a professor of Paediatrics at Universidad Francisco de Vitoria and has authored research in paediatric gastroenterology and nutrition. He trained in paediatrics at Hospital Universitario de Getafe and later specialised in paediatric gastroenterology and nutrition at Hospital Severo Ochoa, and holds a postgraduate qualification in paediatric neurology and neurodevelopment. Within QUALIREHAB, he is the Principal Investigator for SERMAS-FIIBAP, succeeding Dr Gonzalo Oñoro Otero, and leads the entity's contribution to WP5 — communication, dissemination, and stakeholder engagement.
